My Writing
My style of writing has been referred to as to simple or plain. Personally, I don't want to feel like I need a PhD or Master's degree in order to understand and appreciate a poem. Sometimes you just want it simple, just something that speaks to your heart. A good poet can cause you to feel a wide range of emotions with only a few simple words, written in a pure and simple way.
My poems where written so that hopefully anyone can understand them. From grade school to the grave, from an English Professor to a hobo living on the street. I purposely intended them to be simple and to speak to a persons heart and mind. To share my love, my pain, my wonder and my fear.
It is my hope that you will enjoy them.
Biography - Sabreen Wolf
Sabreen was born in November 1962, in Augusta Georgia where she grew up on a dirt road in the house her father and mother built in the country. Her father had a great apprecation for the arts and encouraged her interest in poetry. Together they would make up rhymes and short poems until he pasted away October 22 1976, after suffering a heart attack. Sabreen being only 12 years old when she lost her father began writing poetry in earnest, sharing her grief and painting pictures of the joy, love and pain in her life. As an adult Sabreen moved around quite a bit living in Florida for a time and then moving back to Georgia a few years later; although now she has made a home in Oklahoma.
In November 2006 her first book of poetry entitled "When my Heart Beats" was published by PublishAmerica and is available in book stores worldwide.
In a review written by Dr. Tami Brady, she says "When My Heart Beats is a compilation of heart-felt poetry. This collection includes a variety of both short and longer pieces that range in theme from very light love poems and works of very deep devotion to the sharing of more sharp emotions such as love lost, anger, and deception. In all cases, the author does a very good job of bringing the reader into the mood of the piece. Each different poem seemed to remind me of a like situation, a remembrance, or a similar feeling. I found this effect particularly powerful with the themes that discussed themes of uncertainty, despair, and longing.
Beautiful and genuine."
